Huntsville, AlabamaFull-time
$18 - $20 hourly
About the Job
We are not looking for a salesperson.

We are looking for a relationship builder. Huntsville Hub is a professional coworking space serving entrepreneurs, remote professionals, small businesses, and government contractors. Our members do not just choose a facility. They choose a community. This role is the person who introduces that community to the people who need it most.

If you are the kind of person who follows through without being reminded, earns trust quickly, and genuinely cares about connecting people to the right environment, keep reading.

What the Job Actually Looks Like
Most of your leads will come through inbound inquiries from people who are already interested. Your job is to respond quickly, present the space well, and earn the trust of someone deciding where to put their business. You will also be fully trained on all front desk operations so you can cover phones, mail, and member services when needed.

Your core responsibilities:
  • Respond to membership inquiries by phone and email promptly and professionally.
  • Give tours to prospective members and walk them through what Huntsville Hub offers.
  • Prepare and send membership proposals and manage the full contract process to completion.
  • Follow up consistently with prospects who have toured but not yet committed.
  • Help plan and run periodic member networking events.
  • Cover front desk operations including phones, mail, and member services when needed.
  • Keep accurate records of inquiries, tours, proposals, and new memberships.
  • Occasionally come in on a weekend to open for a client event.

Who Does Well Here:
  • People remember you after meeting you once.
  • When you say you will send something today, it goes out today.
  • You are warm and professional with a startup founder and a corporate executive alike.
  • You are organized enough to manage a sales pipeline and flexible enough to jump in on front desk coverage.
  • Your follow-up emails and proposals represent you well in writing.
  • You stay kind and professional even when a conversation gets uncomfortable.

Who This Is Not For:
  • Someone who needs to be reminded to follow up with prospects.
  • Someone who sees front desk coverage as beneath the role.
  • Someone who is strong in person but drops the ball once a prospect leaves the building.
  • Someone who is uncomfortable talking about pricing, terms, or membership options.

Backgrounds That Tend to Succeed Here
We have seen strong results from people with backgrounds in hotel guest relations and events, membership organizations, commercial leasing, chamber of commerce work, and client-facing account management. A degree is not required. A demonstrable track record of building relationships and following through is.

What Success Looks Like:
30 Days:
  • Conducting tours confidently and independently.
  • Sending professional proposals and managing the follow-up process.
  • Trained and comfortable covering all front desk operations.

90 Days:
  • Consistently converting inquiries into signed memberships.
  • Recognized by members and the team as a reliable, proactive presence.
  • Contributing ideas for member engagement and community growth.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • $18 to $20 per hour based on experience.
  • Commission on new memberships you convert.
  • Full benefits package including BCBS medical, dental, and vision.
  • Approximately 10 paid holidays per year.
  • One week of paid leave after 6 months.
  • Two weeks of paid leave starting in year two.

Why People Value This Role:
  • You are embedded in Huntsville's business community. The relationships you build here are real and lasting.
  • The experience you gain across business development, event planning, and client relations opens doors in commercial real estate, operations, and beyond.
  • You work in a calm, professional environment where your results are visible and your contributions matter.
